NEW
CHURCH/PRESCHOOL BUILDING NEWS!
We are excited to announce
the move to our new location at
44651
Avenida De Missiones which is
directly off of Temecula
Parkway.
This new and expanded
state-of-the-art facility will allow us to take our already
successful developmental program for Preschool, Tot and
Pre-Kindergarten students to a new level of instruction and
care. By more than doubling the total size, our new building
will allow us to introduce exciting new programs such as
After-School, Kindergarten and Elementary programs in the
near future.
Please contact us to learn
more about our exciting plans for the 2009 – 2010 school
year or to simply make arrangements to tour our new
building.

At St. Thomas Preschool, quality is
important to us. We define quality based on the Pre-kindergarten
Learning and Developmental Guidelines from the California
Department of Education. QUALITY means a preschool:
▪ Has experienced and educated early childhood teachers
▪ Provides appropriate inside and
outdoor environments
▪ Partners with parents
▪ Is culturally sensitive to all the
families
▪ Builds self-worth and self-esteem
for all children
▪ Meets the needs of all of its
children
▪ Regularly evaluates and assesses
their program
▪ Utilizes a curriculum that is
developmentally appropriate for the children it serves.
Highlights of our curriculum include:
▪ Content that is interesting and
meaningful to the children
▪ Activities offered for individuals,
small-groups and large groups
▪ A balance between teacher-directed
and child-initiated activities
▪ Time for leisurely exploration and
trying out new activities and ideas
▪ Ways for all children to be
successful
▪ Alternating periods of active and
quiet activities
▪ An emphasis on early literacy and
fostering interest in reading and writing
▪ Activities that promote large muscle
and fine motor development
▪ Opportunities for children to think,
reason, question and experiment
